Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process for an assigned group of patients.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge, judgment and technical skills of an LPN.
• Performs duties under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Administers IV fluids and monitors patients receiving blood products as directed by RN.
• Performs point of care testing including blood glucose.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the EMR and communicates patient status changes.
• Administers medications per policy (with stated restrictions).
• Contributes to planning and direct patient care and provides patient teaching.
• Supports orderly unit operations and adheres to safety standards.
