Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full patient experience: pre-procedure, intra-procedure, post-procedure, including work in the surgery suite
• Retrieve and maintain patient records securely and efficiently
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative visits
• Support RN with opening and closing duties
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and operating room
• Document surgery notes and progress notes accurately
• Support physicians during procedures as needed
• Clean and sterilize operating room and instruments
• Explain treatments, medications, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Maintain medical supplies

Physical Demands

• Use of communication devices with patients and staff
• Visual and auditory acuity
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Lifting up to 25 pounds

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Valid and current State LVN/LPN License
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire, maintained annually
• Sound clinical judgment regarding wound assessment and signs of infection or bleeding
• Ability to interpret instructions and document accurately
• Problem-solving skills and professionalism
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel
• Mathematical skills for calculations

Education

Graduation from an accredited LVN/LPN program and successful passing of the state licensing exam.

Experience

• Less than 1 year as an LVN/LPN
• Experience in a cosmetic surgery center is a plus
