Job summary

UPMC's outpatient Urology team in Williamsport is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends or major holidays, promoting a healthy work-life balance. You will provide professional nursing care, draw blood, administer medications, assist physicians, track vital signs, educate patients, and document care in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license.
• Outpatient nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to travel to Lewisburg occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood.
• Administer medications, including oral, SQ, IM, and IV therapies.
• Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Assess patients' general condition, including vital signs and weight.
• Promote wellness through patient education and by communicating physician instructions and recommendations.
• Document patient care activities, interventions, responses, and medications in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
• Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, CLIA, and Pennsylvania Department of Health.
• Occasionally travel to the Lewisburg office.
