Job summary

UPMC Specialty Care Gastroenterology Associates in York, PA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This role offers independence within the Triage Department while supporting clinical operations across a busy outpatient gastroenterology practice. Schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. The successful candidate will perform phlebotomy, administer medications, assist physicians, and document all

Responsibilities

• Draw blood.
• Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
• Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
• Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

UPMC Specialty Care Gastroenterology Associates is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in York, PA. This position offers the opportunity to work independently within the Triage Department while also supporting clinical operations throughout a busy gastroenterology practice. The ideal candidate will enjoy a combination of patient interaction, clinical support, and care coordination in a collaborative outpatient setting.

• Full-Time
• Monday through Friday
