Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and direct supervision of the center’s physicians or practice manager.

The LPN works under the supervision of the physician and sees 20-50 patients daily; duties include referrals, correspondence, reports, and phone calls.

Primary Location: OHIO-DAYTON, Apple St site; full-time days, 80 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing and completion of a practical nursing program with current state licensure.
• Prior ambulatory care experience preferred.
• CPR certification within the first 3 months; familiarity with EPIC EMR and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide general clinical and procedural patient care under physician supervision.
• See 20–50 patients daily; manage referrals, reports, and phone communications.
• Maintain EPIC EMR accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

Summary of Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and direct supervision of the center’s physicians or practice manager.

Nature and Scope
The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or provider and sees 20-50 patients are seen each day; includes referrals, correspondence, reports, and phone calls.

Qualifications

Qualifications

1. Associates degree and completion of a practical nursing program and pharmacology program and maintains current state licensure with CNE requirements.
2. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred.
3. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
4. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
5. CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
6. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
7. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
8. Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
