Job summary

The Clinical Neuroscience Institute-MVHN is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to support our Premier Physician Network. You will see about 30 patients daily, rooming patients, collecting vitals, and assisting with injections, EKGs, tests and wound care under supervision of the Practice Manager and center physicians.

This role emphasizes accurate documentation, HIPAA compliance, and a strong customer service focus to ensure excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse licensed/certified.
• Ambulatory health care experience preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to deliver high patient care and service.
• CPR certification within first 3 months.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR strongly preferred.
• Understand HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• See upwards of 30 patients per day; provide general clinical care.
• Room patients and collect vitals; assist with procedures.
• Administer injections and perform EKGs; assist with breathing treatments.
• Conduct lab testing, dressing changes, wound care; document meticulously.

Summary of Position

A Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse for the Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.

Our Certified Medical Assistants/Licensed Practical Nurses are an integral part of our offices, and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Nature and Scope

Independently performed procedures may include, but is not limited to, rooming patients and collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills will be an ongoing expectation.

Qualifications

1. 1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate
2. 2. Qualified applicants must be a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and will have graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant or LPN program.
3. 3. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred
4. 4. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
5. 5. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service
