Position Summary

We are seeking a full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team at Hamilton Correctional Institution in Jasper, Florida. The LPN (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the scope of practice, working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, and responding to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

The LPN will deliver patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to manage acute and chronic conditions. The role includes monitoring vital signs, documenting patient progress, and participating in shift handovers.

Shift

Night shift – 3 12‑hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check
