Job summary

Broward County Government is seeking a licensed practical nurse (BARC Residential) to provide patient assessments, medication administration, and ongoing monitoring within the Broward Addiction Recovery Center. The role supports care coordination, documentation, and collaboration with internal and external healthcare providers in a county addiction treatment setting.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited LPN program completion, Florida LPN license with BLS, and at least two years of LPN

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse with Florida license (LPN) and current BLS certification.
• Requires two years of LPN experience, including 6 months in substance abuse/behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and medical screenings.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status throughout treatment.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and maintain documentation in EMR.
• Follow physician orders and ensure safe medication practices.
