Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center's Ft. Collins inpatient Detox and Residential facility is hiring weekend Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.

You will perform admissions assessments, monitor vitals, manage meds, and collaborate with medical and clinical teams to ensure coordinated care. We require an accredited nursing program completion and a current Colorado RN or LPN license, plus at least 1 year of behavioral health or substance use treatment experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, valid RN or LPN license in Colorado.
• At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties: screening, vitals, scheduling tests and labs, updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs, dispense meds, and maintain med logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and UR teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation and medication logging for each client.

Now Hiring weekend Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for our inpatient Detox and Residential treatment facility, in Ft. Collins, CO!

What You'll Do

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission
• Perform all nursing shift duties (screening, vitals, scheduling appointments and labs, updating charts...)
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense meds and maintain med logs
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure seamless coordination of care
• Ensure impeccable medical documentation, chart review, and medication logging for each client

What We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Current, valid RN or LPN license in Colorado
• At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred
• Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills
• Excellent collaborative, multitasking and time management skills
