Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking an LVN/LPN for the Cardiac Telemetry department. This full-time night role runs 7:00 PM–7:30 AM across 3 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision to ensure safety, comfort, and quality care in telemetry settings. LVN/LPN licensure and BLS are required or obtained on hire; IV/BW certifications must be completed within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN license required.
• IV and BW certifications within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certification at hire.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the telemetry setting.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.

3. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.

4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

5. Work experience in health care preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $31.00 to $40.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
