Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to deliver high-quality nursing care to residents within our facility. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals and mentors to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being while following facility protocols.

Responsibilities include medication administration, resident assessments, shift handoffs, and documenting care. Strong communication, leadership, and adherence to standards are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Enhance clinical care and quality of life for residents and protect resident rights.

• Keep RN Supervisor informed about residents, staff and related matters.
• Implement changes directed by RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Provide professional nursing services (catheterization, tube feeding, dressing changes, etc.) as per policy.
• Complete LPN record-keeping forms on admissions, discharges, transfers; file or forward appropriately.
• Provide and receive nursing reports at start/end of shifts.
• Investigate complaints and grievances and report to supervisors.
• Maintain professional image in dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to policies and standards.

To qualify for the position, you will need:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures. You will have all of the training, support, tools & equipment you need to provide the highest degree of quality care. Our team of nursing care professionals & mentors will be by your side every day, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents. And ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
2. Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
3. Checking all residents daily to ensure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and to evaluate their physical and emotional status.
4. Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
5. Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.
6. Administering professional services such as: catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., as established by the facility’s policies and procedures.
7. Completing all Licensed Practical Nurse LPNrequired record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, discharge, transfer, etc. File in the resident’s chart and/or forward to the appropriate department.
8. Giving and receiving nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
9. Investigating complaints and grievances and making necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
10. Presenting in a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
11. Adhering to our policies and standards.
