• Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse training program.
• Current Pennsylvania LPN license with no judgments or disciplinary action.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.

• Minimum one year of LPN experience in long‑term care.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in accordance with Simpson’s medication administration policy.
• Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate).
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, feeding, mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Provide wound care (cleaning, dressing) and occasional catheter care.
• Document all care provided and maintain accurate resident records.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to resident care and safety.
• Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining resident care plans as needed.
• Participate in continuing education and training to maintain licensure, including annual Relias online training as required by PA regulations.

Qualifications

• High‑School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED). If the diploma was earned outside the United States, it must be translated into English.
• Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse training program.
• Current Pennsylvania LPN license with no judgments or disciplinary action.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Preferred: AED certification.
• Minimum one year of experience as an LPN in long‑term care (memory‑care facility experience preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
• Ability to work as a team member, follow directions, and handle stressful situations appropriately.
