Job summary

Riverside Health in Mathews, Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support nursing care under supervision, ensuring emotional, physical comfort and safety of residents and families, and assisting in supervising auxiliary staff.

You will administer medications, respect patient choices, assign duties to CNAs, engage the team for high performance, contribute to individual service plans, document condition changes, and apply nursing judgment to positive resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred.

• Contributes to the development, maintenance, or modifications to the individual service plans.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to nursing practice standards.
• Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.

Overview

Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) participates in the planning and implementation of nursing care and provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families. Assists in supervision of auxiliary personnel.

Experience

• Less than 1 year 6 Months LPN Nursing Experience in a Long-Term Care/Senior Living Facility (Required)
• 1 year LPN Nursing Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
