Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Lifelong Health Float Pool. The role operates across two Riverside Lifelong Health facilities on the Middle Peninsula, with at least 8 shifts every 4 weeks and weekend work.

Pay starts at $39.00 per hour and the hiring range is $29.50–$39.00 hourly. Under supervision of an RN or Nursing leadership, the LPN supports care planning, emotional and physical comfort, safety, and supervision of auxiliary staff to ensure

Qualifications

• LPN experience in long-term care or senior living required.
• LPN nursing experience preferred (1 year).
• BLS/CPR certification per AHA/ARC within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
• Support resident safety, privacy, dignity and preferences.
• Supervise/assign duties to CNAs per policy to ensure quality care.
• Engage team for optimal performance and address performance as needed.
• Contribute to development and modification of individual service plans.
• Document changes in condition per nursing standards.
• Demonstrate reliable follow-through for positive resident outcomes.
• Use judgment and specialized nursing skills daily.

Riverside Health is currently hiring for a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Lifelong Health Float Pool team! This position will work at least 8 shifts per 4-week schedule, with at least 2 of these shifts being on weekends. This role will work between two Riverside Lifelong Heath facilities on the Middle Peninsula. This role offers flexibility and pay rates starting at $39.00 per hour!

Overview

Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) participates in the planning and implementation of nursing care and provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families while supporting multiple Lifelong Health Senior Living facilities. Assists in supervision of auxiliary personnel.

• Medications and treatments are administered accurately and according to provider's orders.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.
• Contributes to the development, maintenance, or modifications to the individual service plans.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to nursing practice standards.
• Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
• Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.

Qualifications

• Experience less than 1 year 6 months LPN Nursing Experience in a Long-Term Care/Senior Living Facility (Required)
• 1 year LPN Nursing Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days (Required)
