Job summary

ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Rio Rancho, NM seeks a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join inpatient teams. You will deliver skilled nursing under RN supervision, following physician orders, and help implement individualized care plans to support a safe, healing environment.

Collaborate with RNs, physicians, PT/OT/ST, and case managers; participate in IVs, wound care, mobility support, and 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• LPN license must be valid in New Mexico.
• CPR is required; ACLS & BLS are preferred.
• 1+ year of LPN experience preferred; acute care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services under the supervision of an RN and aligned with physician orders.
• Support individualized care plans and administer treatments to promote healing.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll be a key contributor to our patient care team, delivering skilled nursing services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in alignment with physician orders. Your role is essential in supporting individualized care plans, administering treatments, and ensuring a safe and healing environment for every patient. Position Highlights at a Glance:

• Caseload: ~7 patients
• Average Patient Length of Stay: 10–14 days
• Conditions: Stroke, brain & spinal cord injuries, cardiac, ortho, complex medical, and more
• Team Approach: Work closely with PT/OT/ST, physicians, case managers, respiratory therapy & more
• Advanced Care: IVs, trachs, wound care, mobility support, lines, tubes, and drains
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week + rotating weekends/holidays (with added pay)

What You’ll Need:

• LPN License (State of New Mexico)
• CPR required | ACLS & BLS preferred
• 1+ year of LPN experience preferred (Acute care a plus)

Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift:

• A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
• Both gross and precise motor functions.
• Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
• Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
• Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
• Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
