Job summary

Arden Courts of West Palm Beach is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to administer medications and treatments to residents and maintain care records. As part of the Health & Wellness team, you ensure resident needs are met according to physician orders, facility policies, and applicable guidelines.

The position is PRN and based in Florida, offering the chance to support residents in a respected long-term care community with competitive benefits and flexible scheduling (PRN).

Qualifications

• Current active LPN license in state of practice.
• Gerontological nursing experience, including dementia population preferred.
• Ability to read and write at a basic level and communicate in English.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. The LPN also ensures resident’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines . Requirements

Clearinghouse Screening: This position requires additional screening through FL Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse--link to site https://info.flclearinghouse.com/

Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
Licensure: Current active LPN license in state of practice

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for writing and medication administration); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment
