Job summary

Erickson Senior Living Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate direct care in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing settings. You will assess residents, document findings in the EMR, and support care planning and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing settings in the neighborhood.
• Assess residents' condition, document findings, and notify RN or provider as needed.
• Update care plans to reflect changes in needs and services.
• Supervise and lead care associates and administer medications per orders.
• Collaborate with the care team to support resident well-being and safety.
• Engage with residents and families to explain care and advocate for residents.
• Participate in clinical reviews and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Location: Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and provide exceptional care to residents in our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing settings

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, well-being, and quality of life of our residents. You will provide direct clinical care within the neighborhood, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with established nursing standards of practice, state board of nursing regulations, and Erickson Senior Living policies and procedures.

Compensation: $32.00 per hour alongside additional shift differential earnings (Evening and Night Shift)

How you will make an impact:

• Developing relationships with the residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach supporting the resident’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs and focusing on placing the resident first.

• Assessing, observing, and evaluating resident’s clinical condition, document findings in the resident electronic medical record, and notify the provider and/or RN when necessary.

• Updating or modifying care plans as needed to reflect any changes to a resident’s care and service needs.

• Supervising and leading care associates

• Administering medications timely, accurately, and according to orders.

• Participating in meetings related to resident outcomes and care

• Responding to residents, family, or responsible parties in a timely and professional manner

• Participating in the review of clinical indicator reviews – falls, wounds, nutrition, antipsychotic use, etc.

• Other duties as assigned by RN clinical leader

What you will need:

• Licensed by the State of Maryland as a Licensed Practical Nurse

• CPR certification required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care is preferred

• A passion to care for seniors and be a strong resident advocate

• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred
