Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is seeking Per Diem LPNs to provide professional nursing care on designated units in our Shippensburg, PA facility. The role supports acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults and an adolescent program for youth aged 13-17.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, assisting with care plans, medication administration, patient education, and crisis response.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• Monitors and documents patient condition and interventions provided reporting finding to the unit Charge Nurse/RN
• Monitors Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participates in Treatment Team meetings as necessary
• Provides supportive counseling and patient education
• The Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education
• The Licensed Practical Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety

Qualifications

LPN Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program
• One year prior experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required
• Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse.
