Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for per diem on-the-road roles in Tennessee. You will educate patients and caregivers on self-care, monitor and document patient status, and support care teams during visits across Hamilton and Marion Counties.

A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and CPR certification are required. The position offers flexible scheduling with the potential for overflow coverage and PTO support as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify them when patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform a medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.

Attractive pay

• 24.75 to 33.00

Responsibilities
