About

Looking for a charge nurse per diem.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are responsible for staff assignment and providing overall supervision of resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures, as directed by the RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator. Your goal is to ensure the highest quality of resident care at all times.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or an approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program with a current LPN licensure in the practicing state.
• Possess leadership ability and willingness to work with and supervise professional and nonprofessional personnel.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical

• Complete all required record-keeping forms/charts upon resident’s admission, discharge, transfer, etc., and file appropriately.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; assist in arranging transportation and packing as needed.
• Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressing changes, and specimen collection, following facility policies.

Supervision

• Work with facility consultants and implement recommended changes as directed.
• Investigate complaints and grievances; report findings to RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Give and receive nursing reports during shift changes.
• Check residents daily to ensure proper treatment and evaluate their physical and emotional status.
• Keep RN Supervisor informed about residents, staff, and related matters.

Consumer Service

• Present a professional image through dress, behavior, and speech.
• Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Protect all resident rights.
