Job summary

MGA Homecare is seeking an LPN/LVN to provide skilled nursing for a pediatric patient evenings, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. under limited supervision, following nursing processes and facility policies.

The nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, documenting changes and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while working within MGA Homecare guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active NC Nursing license required.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned facilities.
• Provide TB results or chest X-ray as required.
• Provide CPR certification per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care according to plan of treatment and care plan.
• Identify changes in patient status and communicate with supervisors.
• Document care and orders in clinical notes and nursing plans.
• Follow MGA policies, procedures, and handbooks and attend required trainings.
• Report on time to complete work within designated shifts.

Under limited supervision, the licensed practical/vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing processes of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, and any standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations that govern any facility the LPN/LVN is working at.

MGA Homecare is hiring a nurse for Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2 p.m.- 9 p.m., with a pediatric patient.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides skilled nursing as ordered on the plan of treatment and nursing care plan.
• New problems, changes, and/or resolution of problems are identified and followed through as follows:
• Documentation of same on clinical notes, supplemental physical orders and nursing care plan.
• Skilled observations and significant changes in patient status are communicated to the Director of Clinical Services and/or Clinical Manager.
• Requests for modification of orders or additional orders are made based on the patient’s clinical status and skilled nursing judgment.
• Participation in Agency’s other mandated activities as requested by Agency Director such as In-Services.
• MGA policies, procedures, and handbook are adhered to.
• Reports on time and as scheduled in order to complete work within designated time.

Requirement
