Job summary

Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation Smithfield in Smithfield, Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and report to the Director of Nursing.

You will monitor residents, administer medications per orders, and support safety and dignity in care. Qualifications include a Virginia LPN license (VDHP) at hire, CPR/BLS certification within 30 days, and a preference for less than 1 year

Qualifications

• Must hold Virginia LPN license (VDHP) upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 1 year nursing experience preferred.

Smithfield, VirginiaHiring Range$28.90 - $39.78/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewWorks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) monitors the resident, participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families. Assists in supervision of auxiliary personnel.What you will doMedications and treatments are administered accurately and according to provider's orders.Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.Participates in administering medications, treatments, monitoring and observation of resident care. Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to standards of nursing practice. Demonstrates consistent follow through to promote positive resident outcomes.
