Job summary

Ecumen North Branch is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide resident care, administer medications, and support clinical staff on unit during part-time shifts. The role includes 6:30 am–3:00 pm and 10:30 pm–7:00 am options, with evening and overnight differentials.

Responsibilities include coordinating care from admission to discharge, documenting, and ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the LPN program.
• Current LPN license in Minnesota.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow safety rules and facility policies.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to residents/patients, including medications and treatment administration, documentation, and other therapeutic interventions under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Clinical Director. This position is also responsible for providing direction to Nursing Assistants, Resident Assistants, Trained Medication Assistants, and other clinical staff on unit/shift.

Opportunity Details

Schedule:

• Part‑Time
• Shift: 6:30 am‑3:00 pm & 10:30 pm‑7:00 am
• Position works various weekdays, every other weekend & rotating holidays.

Pay:

• The targeted pay range for this job is $31.89 to $34.28 per hour.
• Shift Differential for evenings ($1.00/hour) & overnights ($2.00/hour).

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Provide nursing care to residents/patients within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse.
2. Coordinate and direct resident/patient care, coordinating care and services with other departments/providers from admission to discharge.
3. Assist Registered Nurse with completion of assessments, documentation, and data collection within scope of practice and acting timely on findings.
4. Administer medications and complete treatments as ordered. Observe and monitor residents’ condition and report changes as appropriate. Ensure that all physicians’ orders are signed and implemented within specified time frames.
5. Maintain safety of all residents/patients and team members. Respond appropriately to safety hazards and report any issues to the appropriate person. Ensure that all staff follows the infection control policy and procedure.
6. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and efficiently organized work area.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Current LPN licensure in the state in which they are working.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience providing senior care/healthcare setting.
