Job summary

Ecumen North Branch is a licensed practical nurse (LPN) position. The LPN provides nursing care, administers medications, documents care, and supports nursing staff under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Clinical Director.

This full-time role offers evening or overnight shifts (2:30pm-11:00pm or 10:30pm-7:00am) with rotating weekends and holidays, along with a comprehensive benefits package and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited nursing program for LPN licensure
• Current LPN licensure in Minnesota
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills for charting and documentation
• Ability to follow safety rules and facility policies

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents per LPN scope of practice
• Coordinate and direct resident care with other departments
• Assist RN with assessments, documentation, and data collection
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor resident conditions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to residents/patients, including medications and treatment administration, documentation, and other therapeutic interventions under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Clinical Director. This position is responsible for providing direction to Nursing Assistants, Resident Assistants, Trained Medication Assistants, and other clinical staff on unit/shift.

Opportunity Details:

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm or 10:30pm-7:00am
• Position works various weekdays, every other weekend & rotating holidays.

Pay:

• The targeted pay range for this job is $31.89 to $34.28 per hour.
• Shift Differential for evenings ($1.00/hour) & overnights ($2.00/hour).

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing care to residents/patients within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Responsible for coordination and direction of resident/patient care. Coordinates care and services with other departments/providers from the time of admission to discharge.
• Assists Registered Nurse with completion of assessments, documentation, and data collection within scope of practice and acting timely on findings.
• Administers medications and completes treatments as ordered. Observes and monitors resident’s condition and reports changes as appropriate. Ensures that all physicians’ orders are signed and implemented within specified time frames.
• Maintains safety of all residents/patients and team members. Responds appropriately to safety hazards and reports any issues to the appropriate person. Ensures that all staff follows the infection control policy and procedure.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, safe and efficiently organized work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the Licensed Practical Nurse program
• Current LPN licensure in the state in which they are working
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
