Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Outpatient Clinic

A hospital in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Adult Medicine Specialties clinic in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity

• Start Date: ASAP, 60-day assignment
• Department: Adult Medicine Specialties/Dermatology
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 11:00am to 7:00pm (35 hours/week, 1 hour unpaid lunch)

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and make appropriate referrals
• Prepare charts and ensure laboratory and ancillary reports are entered
• Document all clinical transactions on patient charts
• Assist with case management activities
• Support medical staff with treatment and diagnostic procedures (e.g., urine catheterization, slide preparation, instrument handing)
• Perform EKGs and venipuncture on adults and pediatric patients
• Administer injections, including immunizations
• Monitor clinic equipment and supplies
• Handle patient follow-ups and document actions
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail

Desired Skills

• At least 1 year of LPN experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
