Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Orthopedic Neurology and Spine department. This full-time night shift position runs 7:00pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care to maintain safety, comfort, and a positive patient experience in the medical-surgical setting. A Sign-On Bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN licensure required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the medical surgical setting.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.

3. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $31.00 to $40.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
