Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing
- BLS certification
- Previous clinic experience preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts focused assessments of patients' health status, comparing data to normal findings and the patient's current health condition.
- Reports changes in health status and responses to interventions to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Participates in developing and modifying care plans with other healthcare providers.
- Implements interventions within a nursing care plan or as delegated by a registered nurse.
- Provides safe, effective nursing care and promotes a therapeutic environment.
- Advocates for patients' best interests and collaborates with healthcare team members.
- Assists in evaluating responses to interventions and provides healthcare information to patients.
- Maintains quality of care, recognizes limits of knowledge, and performs to the expected level of education and skill.
- Maintains organizational and nursing competencies and manages information per regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Medical Assistant (MA):
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certified (CMA) or Registered MA (RMA)
- BLS certification
- Previous clinic experience preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in patient care under supervision, including greeting, collecting data, and assisting with procedures.
- Prepares and administers medications and vaccines as ordered, excluding IM RhoGam or IM Narcotics.
- Performs laboratory specimen collection, x-ray assistance, and in-office procedures like EKGs.
- Maintains aseptic techniques and provides patient education.
- Performs delegated tasks, manages supplies, and ensures smooth clinical operations.
- Maintains competencies and manages information according to regulations.
- Performs other duties within scope and competency.
