Job Summary - LPN

Responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing education, reinforcement of care plans, and general support in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of the patient’s physician or LIP/RN designee. This role promotes patient health and wellness across all age groups, understanding the developmental age of individuals served.

Job Summary - MA

Medical Assistants provide clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory setting under supervision. Duties include patient care, vital signs, assisting healthcare professionals, laboratory tests, and clinical intake, serving all age groups with an understanding of their developmental needs.

Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory
  • Assist the registered nurse and/or provider with data collection concerning patients’ physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions.
  • Organize and prioritize nursing care activities considering patient needs and team input.
  • Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed by the provider.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care and progress toward outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing education and reinforce care plans based on patient needs and age.
  • Create a safe environment and ensure safe care delivery.
  • Maintain professional development and demonstrate teamwork.
Medical Assistant - Ambulatory
  • Support clinic operations through effective communication and data collection.
  • Complete clinical intake, data collection, and documentation.
  • Provide clinical support during examinations and procedures, including specimen collection, testing, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Organize daily work to support patient needs and team efficiency.
  • Implement interventions as directed, reinforce patient education, and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Document services and support administrative tasks as needed.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility for professional growth.
Minimum Requirements - LPN
  • Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
  • Licensed to practice as an LPN in Virginia prior to onboarding.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Minimum Requirements - Medical Assistant
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or military medical experience with certification eligibility.
  • Preferred but not required: prior experience.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized national organization, obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • AHA BLS certification required at hire.

Physical demands include standing, traveling, bending, and lifting 20-50 lbs. Exposure to chemicals, blood, and infectious diseases is possible.
