Responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing education, reinforcement of care plans, and general support in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee, in accordance with policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. This role involves serving all age populations, demonstrating understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.
Medical Assistants provide clinical support, assist with administrative tasks, and support in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. Duties include patient care, vital signs, assisting licensed professionals, performing laboratory tests, quality control, and clinical intake. Service is provided to all age groups with an understanding of the developmental age of the individual served.
Standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, bending/stooping, communication skills, attention to detail, lifting 20-50 lbs, exposure to chemicals, blood, and infectious diseases.
