Job Summary LPN

Responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing education, reinforcement of care plans, and general support in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee, in accordance with policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. This role involves serving all age populations, demonstrating understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.

Job Summary MA

Medical Assistants provide clinical support, assist with administrative tasks, and support in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. Duties include patient care, vital signs, assisting licensed professionals, performing laboratory tests, quality control, and clinical intake. Service is provided to all age groups with an understanding of the developmental age of the individual served.

Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory
  • Assist the registered nurse and/or provider with data collection on physical, psychological, social, and cultural aspects of patients according to standards and policies.
  • Organize and prioritize nursing care activities considering patient needs and interdisciplinary team input.
  • Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed by the nurse or provider.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care and progress toward outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing education and reinforce care plans based on health and education needs, patient condition, and age.
  • Ensure a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
  • Engage in professional development for self and others.
  • Demonstrate teamwork in patient care delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Medical Assistant - Ambulatory
  • Support effective clinic operations through communication with team members, providers, and patients.
  • Assist with data collection and clinical intake adhering to standards and policies.
  • Perform clinical support during examinations and procedures, including specimen collection, testing, and sterilization.
  • Organize and prioritize daily work to support patient needs and operational efficiency.
  • Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed.
  • Reinforce patient/family teaching plans using educational materials.
  • Maintain a safe environment and manage supplies and equipment.
  • Document and charge for clinical services accurately.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, documentation, and communication.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and recognize time-sensitive issues.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements for LPN
  • Graduated from an accredited LPN program.
  • Licensed as an LPN in Virginia before onboarding.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Minimum Requirements for Medical Assistant
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or military medical experience with certification eligibility.
  • Preferred but not required: prior experience.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized national organization.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required at hire.
Physical Demands

Standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, bending/stooping, communication skills, attention to detail, lifting 20-50 lbs, exposure to chemicals, blood, and infectious diseases.
