Job Summary LPN

Responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing education, reinforcement of care plans, and general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction or supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee, in accordance with policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. This position requires providing services to all age populations, demonstrating an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.

Job Summary MA

Medical Assistants provide clinical support, assist with administrative tasks, and offer general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction or supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee, in accordance with policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. Duties include patient care, vital signs, assisting licensed health care professionals, performing laboratory tests, quality control, and clinical intake. This position requires serving all age populations with an understanding of their functional/developmental age.

Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory
  • Assist the registered nurse and/or provider through data collection concerning the physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of patients according to practice standards and institutional policy/procedure.
  • Organize and prioritize nursing care activities considering the needs of the patients and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Implement age-appropriate interventions based on individual patient's needs as directed by the registered nurse/provider.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of care given in progressing patients toward desired outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans developed by the Provider/RN based on identified health and education needs and the condition and age of the patient.
  • Provide a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
  • Assume responsibility for professional development of self and contribute to and assist with the professional development of others.
  • Demonstrate teamwork in the delivery of patient care.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Medical Assistant - Ambulatory
  • Assist in ensuring effective and efficient clinic operations while maintaining consistent communication with team members, referring providers, and patients.
  • Assist with data collection for physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of patients according to professional standards and policies.
  • Complete standardized rooming, clinical intake, data collection, and documentation.
  • Provide clinical support during examinations and procedures, including preparing specimens, performing tests, cleaning and sterilization, wound care, and administering medications.
  • Organize and prioritize daily work to support patient needs and operational efficiency.
  • Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Reinforce patient/family teaching plans based on health education needs.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Document and capture charges for clinical services rendered.
  • Perform administrative support tasks such as drafting letters, scheduling, and assisting with clinic paperwork.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and recognize time-sensitive issues.
  • Take responsibility for professional development of self and others.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements for LPN
  • Graduated from an accredited LPN program.
  • Licensed to practice as an LPN in Virginia prior to onboarding.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Minimum Requirements for Medical Assistant
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or military medical experience with certification eligibility.
  • Preferred but not required: relevant experience.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized national organization (AAMA, AMT, NAHP, ARMA, NHA), obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification at hire.
Physical Demands

Standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, bending/stooping, with proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills. Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. Exposure to chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
