Job summary

Providence Healthcare of Thomaston is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our unit. The LPN will help develop and implement individualized nursing care plans and support day-to-day unit operations.

Working with the Unit Director, you will supervise nursing staff as needed and take on leadership responsibilities per shift, ensuring high-quality patient care in a geriatric or rehabilitative setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for Practical or Vocational Nursing.
• Currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

In conjunction with the Unit Director, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of Nursing in the development of and implementation of individualized Nursing Care Plans to ensure that the needs of the customers are met. He/she assists in the orientation of and supervision of nursing personnel, attends to the daily operations of the unit on per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.

Requirements

1. The Licensed Practical Nurse must be a graduate of an approved school for Practical or Vocational Nursing and must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
2. Experience is preferred in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing
