Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Medical-Surgical to join a 18-bed unit with 12-hour shifts and every-other-weekend rotation. The role supports a collaborative team, self-scheduling, and a mission to deliver exceptional patient care across the life span.

Requirements include an active North Carolina LPN license, BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months, and at least one year of experience. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsabilidades

• Under the direction of an RN, contribute to patient assessment by collecting data.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including wound care and specimen collection.
• May administer medication.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist RN with development of plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, nutrition, ambulation).
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status to RN, physician, patient, and families.

The Medical Surgical department at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive and stable work environment, caring for a variety of patients across the life span. This 18- Bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. How you'll contribute

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

• Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medication.
• Documents patient care given.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state LPN license. Associate's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience required.
