Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta is seeking a day shift, full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Henryetta, OK. The LPN will provide nursing care under the supervision of a RN or LIP and must demonstrate the ability to care for patients across the age span.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds an Oklahoma LPN license, and will obtain BLS within 14 days of hire. One year of LPN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LPN license in the State of Oklahoma.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed independent practitioner.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide age-appropriate care for patients.
• Participate in development, modification and implementation of the plan of care to deliver efficient and high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

• Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta is a 30-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiology, emergency, women's services, general surgery, rehabilitation, withdrawal stabilization and surgery.

• Individuals within this job classification are accountable for providing nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed independent practitioner.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to collect data reflective of the patient's status.
• The LPN is to participate in the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and high quality patient care.
• He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
