Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta is seeking a day shift, full-time Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide bedside nursing care on the unit, under supervision of a registered nurse.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Oklahoma LPN license and BLS certification; willingness to obtain BLS within 14 days. One year of LPN experience is preferred, with emphasis on adherence to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LPN license in the State of Oklahoma.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed independent practitioner.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care on the assigned unit.
• Participate in the development, modification, and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with standards and regulations.

• Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta is a 30-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiology, emergency, women’s services, general surgery, rehabilitation, withdrawal stabilization and surgery.
• Individuals within this job classification are accountable for providing nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed independent practitioner.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to collect data reflective of the patient’s status.
• The LPN is to participate in the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and high quality patient care.
• He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current LPN license in the State of Oklahoma
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient
