Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Texarkana is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide nursing care under the direction of an RN on the unit, delivering age-appropriate care in a medical-surgical setting.

You will gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures while upholding PAM Health policies. Texas-licensed LPN/LVN with BLS and IV certification (if required) are valued; inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN licensure in Texas or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required; AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• IV certification within 90 days of employment if state regulations require.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
• Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures.
• Care for patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner per PAM Health policies.

Education

LPN/LVN licensure (Texas or compact licensure)

BLS certification (AHA approved within 90 days)

IV Certification (if required by state regulations)

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training:

Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
