Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our award-winning team and contribute to high-quality patient care. The 352-bed acute care hospital delivers inpatient, outpatient and ancillary services with a renommed Cardiology program and Joint Commission accreditation.

The LVN will provide direct and indirect care under supervision, address psychosocial and physical needs, and work with a multidisciplinary team to maintain excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.
• IV certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family; Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
