Job summary

PAM Health Aiken is opening a brand-new rehabilitation hospital and is hiring licensed practical/licensed vocational nurses to join the team. You will provide direct nursing care, document and report patient status, and assist with therapeutic procedures under RN supervision.

Qualifications include LPN/LVN licensure, BLS certification, and IV certification if required by state regulations, with preferred one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as LPN/LVN in the state where hospital resides.
• BLS certification required; AHA-approved within 90 days of employment.
• IV certification within 90 days if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit.
• Gather and report patient data and carry out orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training:

Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
