Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA. This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Compensation is hourly, with bi-weekly pay and benefits package including health, dental, vision and life coverage. Requirements include a state license as LPN/LVN, a nursing certificate, graduation from an accredited program, and at least one year of practical nursing

Qualifications

• Certified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) with active license.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; state boards eligible.
• Minimum of 1 year practical/vocational nursing experience after graduation.
• Current, full, active license as LPN/LVN.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, perform and complete assigned nursing duties in patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, IM, IV) and monitor effects.
• Assess patient conditions, document and communicate changes to the team.
• Recognize urgent situations and escalate to RN/MD as directed.
• Assist in diagnostic tests and procedures and prepare patients and equipment.

Matrix Providers is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Oceanside, CA.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
  • $35.15-$36.50 plus H&W $4.57
• Schedule: Monday thru Friday 0730 am - 0400 pm

Requirements: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)must have and meet the following:

• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).
• Experience: One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.

Location of work: Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. May be utilized in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine based on the needs of the facility.

This position is Monday thru Friday with weekends and Holidays scheduled off.

This position does provide Services to the Active Duty members and their dependents. This may include spouses and/or children.

This position will require a Child Background Check. It is anticipated to take 8 weeks for clearance once a completed accurate packet is submitted to the facility and candidate is fingerprinted.

Job Summary:

• Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.
• Complete assigned patient care based on the patient's conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report, and record relevant patient information.
• Observe, identify and respond to the patient's needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek the assistance of the RN and MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.
• Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient's condition before, during, and following the procedure.
• Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice.
• Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families, and employee satisfaction.
