Job summary

Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, MT is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct and indirect patient care in a busy clinic setting. Work under supervision with the Clinic Director of Nursing and collaborate with a dedicated care team.

Responsibilities include patient interviews, medication administration, immunizations, phlebotomy support, IV setup, and accurate documentation. May participate in onboarding and training new staff; typical schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00AM–5:00PM,

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program and eligible for Montana LPN licensure.
  • Current Montana LPN license and BLS certification are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask.

  • Interview patients regarding concerns, medications, allergies, and review chart information.
  • Administer medications under provider supervision and assist with care plans.
  • Document patient care accurately and support treatment implementation.
  • Perform immunizations, TB testing, nebulizer treatments, and vision testing.
  • Assist with phlebotomy needs and IV setup; ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and restock supplies.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and perform triage within scope.
  • Coordinate patient referrals and onboarding of new team members.

Licensed Practical Nurse – Make an Impact in Eastern Montana

Location: On-site at GMC | 202 Prospect Dr, Glendive, MT 59330 | Gabert Clinic

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly (bi-weekly pay)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Under supervision of the Clinic Director of Nursing (DON) and in collaboration with other team members, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with professional standards of care, state regulations and accreditation standards and clinic philosophy, policies, and procedures.

What You'll Do
  • Interview patients regarding current concerns, medications, allergies, and review chart information for accuracy.
  • Assist with patient care plans and treatment regimens, including administering medications under provider supervision.
  • Document patient care accurately and support providers in implementing treatment.
  • Perform essential clinical tasks such as immunizations, medication administration, nebulizer treatments, visual acuity testing, and TB test placement/reading.
  • Support phlebotomy needs by preparing equipment, verifying orders, and assisting with specimen collection.
  • Assist with IV setup and monitoring, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness, restock supplies, and ensure readiness throughout the day.
  • Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, taking messages, and performing triage within scope.
  • Coordinate patient referrals and ensure smooth transitions in care.
  • Participate in onboarding and training new team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
