We are seeking a caring and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will provide excellent direct care to our residents on a daily basis. The incumbent will perform assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well‑being of residents, such as assisting in the admission of new residents, assisting with activities of daily living, administering specified medications, supervising non‑licensed nursing staff, and participating in the evaluation of non‑licensed staff.
Directly supervises employees in the Resident Services/Nursing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
The employee must regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; occasionally to sit, climb, or balance, and taste or smell. May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
