Salary Range: $20.00 Hourly

Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00 depending on experience

Job Type: Full‑Time Position available, 7:00AM – 7:00PM shifts available; days will vary, weekend availability

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provides assistance to residents with all activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, peri‑care, toileting, and hygiene.
  2. Speaks to and interacts with residents at all levels of care while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
  3. Observes and reports to supervisor daily.
  4. Changes in the resident's health and emotional wellbeing.
  5. Serves and assists residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
  6. Responsible to initiate and participate in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.
  7. Always maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
  8. Performs daily general housekeeping duties following established cleaning schedules.
  9. Ensures and supports a dignified caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.
  10. Responds promptly and courteously to resident's request for assistance including phone calls and requests from family members and visitors.
  11. Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.
  12. Ensures residents and or responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community.
  13. Maintains a safe and secure working environment free.
  14. Responsible for objects, situations that could cause harm, falls to residents, families visitors, and associates.
  15. Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.
  16. Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
  17. Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.
  18. Knows, understands, follows established policy, and procedures in emergency situations.
  19. Responsible for being essential personnel during emergencies and or inclement weather.
  20. Reports or remains at community until released by supervisor.
  21. Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.
  22. Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies, and procedures.
  23. Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude with residents, families, visitors, associates, and management.
  24. Complies with attendance and call off policy.
  25. Participates in trainings, in‑service, and mandatory meetings.
  26. Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.
  27. Refrains from discussing resident care issues with families, visitors, and refers all inquiries to immediate supervisor.
  28. Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations.
  29. Assists with training of new employees.
  30. Assists in mentoring new employees.
  31. Responsible for without asking, takes the initiative in work, seeks out additional information, offers solutions, and suggestions.
  32. Responsible for willingly taking on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.
  33. Provides a variety of housekeeping and or laundry duties in maintaining the community in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.
  34. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the Resident Services Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
