Job summary

ATC Healthcare Services is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to provide skilled nursing in school settings across Duval County and surrounding areas. You will work under supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, administering medications and monitoring students’ health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current, unrestricted LPN license in Florida.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in the past three years.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to students under supervision of RN, physician, or AP provider.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Monitor and document student health status and medication responses.
• Perform nursing procedures including wound care, dressing changes, catheterization, tube feedings, oxygen therapy, diabetic care, ROM therapy, and pre/post-procedure care.
• Assist students with daily living, social development, recreational activities, and age-appropriate care.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Deliver compassionate, culturally competent care and follow ATC policies and district guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

As a School Licensed Practical Nurse, you will:

• Provide skilled nursing care to students under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, physician, or advanced practice provider.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

• Monitor and document student health status and medication responses.

• Perform nursing procedures including:

  • Wound care and sterile dressing changes

  • Catheterization

  • Tube feedings

  • Oxygen therapy

  • Diabetic care

  • Range of motion therapy

  • Pre- and post-procedure care

• Assist students with activities that promote:

  • Daily living skills

  • Social development

  • Recreational participation

  • Reality orientation when appropriate

• Maintain accurate documentation and health records.

• Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers.

• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Follow all ATC Healthcare policies, procedures, and school district guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of Florida

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience within the past three years.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

• Pediatric, school nursing, or behavioral health experience is a plus.
