Job summary

RHA Health Services in Trenton, TN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an on-site, full-time role. The position covers Every Other Weekend 8p-8a, with responsibilities including holistic nursing care, medication administration, and collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team to support individuals with IDD.

Applicants must hold an LPN license, CPR certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and organize tasks in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Must communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, people supported and families.
• Must be able to work independently, be organized, and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.
• Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel.
• Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration.
• Assist with scheduling preventative and routine medical appointments.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Collect health related data.
• Observe for and report abnormal health findings to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for the people supported and develop community supports to promote optimal health.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $30.42

Incentives: No sign-on bonus offered. No relocation packaged offered.

Schedule: Every Other Sat and Sun 8p-8a

Job Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements include: ability to regularly lift 20 pounds. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to communicate.
