Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a qualified LPN/LVN to provide direct and indirect care in a fast-paced ED. You will work under RN supervision, supporting urgent patient care, safety, and rapid response while collaborating with physicians and care teams.

The role features full-time night shifts (7p–7a) at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, with a pay range of $27.00–$30.75 per hour and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse with required licensure.
• Certification in IV therapy and BW within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification at or before start date.
• Experience in health care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
• Monitor vitals, patient condition, and acuity changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocols.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.

Full-time | Nights | 7p–7a | 12-Hour Shifts

Pay: $27.00 to $30.75

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED). Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role supports urgent and emergent patient care, ensuring patient safety, rapid response, and quality outcomes.

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2.Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.

3.IV certificationandBlood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.

4.Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

5.Work experience in health care preferred.
