Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is hiring a licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift position features 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am and offers a sign-on bonus.

Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced ED, monitor vitals, assist with medications, IV therapy and blood draws, and support trauma and triage efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• LPN/LVN license required.
• IV certification and BW certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification upon hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.

Full-time | Nights | 7p–7a | 12-Hour Shifts

Pay: $27.00 to $30.75

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED). Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role supports urgent and emergent patient care, ensuring patient safety, rapid response, and quality outcomes.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.00 to $30.75. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
