Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, PA, a UHS subsidiary, is hiring an LPN for a full-time role on a 6:30am–7:00pm or 6:30pm–7:00am schedule with weekend rotation. Part-time and PRN options are available with some benefits and a sign-on bonus.

The LPN provides professional nursing care on an assigned unit, monitors patient conditions, participates in treatment meetings, and supports education and crisis response to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• License/registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• One year prior experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit in accordance with Roxbury Treatment Center policies.
• Be accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift and promote nursing practice under supervision.
• Monitor and document patient condition and report findings to the unit Charge Nurse/RN.
• Participate in Treatment Team meetings as necessary and support treatment plans.
• Provide supportive counseling and patient education, including medication administration practices.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.

LPN Role/Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.


• The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.


• Monitors and documents patient condition and interventions provided reporting finding to the unit Charge Nurse/RN


• Monitors Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participates in Treatment Team meetings as necessary


• Provides supportive counseling and patient education


• The Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education


• The Licensed Practical Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
