Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a Corrections assignment in Columbia, SC. The role is a 13-week contract at 36 hours per week, with days scheduled and every-other-weekend commitments.

The LPN will administer routine and emergency care under supervision, monitor vital signs, document responses, and collaborate with the care team in a secure correctional setting. A minimum of 1 year LPN experience and an active SC licensure are required or willingness to obtain

• 1 year of experience as a LPN.
• Valid LPN license.
• Be willing to obtain South Carolina licensure.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine and emergency medical care under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, adhering to the scope of practice for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Monitor and document vital signs, medication administration, and patient responses--ensuring compliance with correctional healthcare protocols.
• Perform wound care, TB testing, and chronic care management for inmates in accordance with institutional guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment--providing care that truly matters.
