Job summary

Lifepoint Behavioral Health's Triangle Springs in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in a behavioral health setting under RN supervision. You will assist with assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications as part of a compassionate, patient-centered team.

This full-time day shift (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.), with rotating weekends, requires NC LPN license, BLS and CPI certifications within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing program.
• Current, valid LPN/LVN license in North Carolina.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
• Behavioral health experience preferred and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assists with patient assessments and contributes to individualized care planning.
• Administers medications and treatments within the scope of LPN practice.
• Monitors patient conditions and reports changes to the clinical team.
• Supports interventions focused on patient safety, stabilization, and recovery.
• Provides care appropriate to the age and behavioral health needs of each patient.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Participates in interdisciplinary care and communicates with patients, families, and team members.
• Demonstrates professionalism and patient advocacy in a therapeutic environment.
• Maintains a safe, respectful environment for patients and staff.

As an LPN, you'll work closely with Registered Nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support patients receiving treatment for psychiatric and substance use disorders.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is interested in providing care in a behavioral health setting.

Additional Requirements Include

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing program
• Current, valid LPN/LVN license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required within 30 days of hire

Previous Nursing Experience Preferred

• Behavioral health or psychiatric experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in high-pressure situations
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
