Job summary

Triangle Springs is a 77-bed behavioral health hospital serving the Raleigh community. We are part of Lifepoint Behavioral Health, dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care. The LPN will join a collaborative team and contribute to psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment.

This day-shift position features 3 twelve-hour shifts with weekend rotation from 7 AM to 7 PM. Applicants must hold an NC LPN license, and BLS/CPI certifications within 30 days; 1 year of nursing experience

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact license.
• BLS and CPI certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• One year nursing experience preferred.
• Behavioral Health or Psychiatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Makes and documents nursing observations.
• Maintains and contributes to the nursing care plan.
• Administers medications, treatments and therapies per scope of practice.
• Collaborates with RNs and Providers.
• Coordinates patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Educates patients and families about conditions as directed by RN.
• Sets up and maintains equipment, supplies, and workspace.

Our Behavioral Health team provides compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Nurses work closely with interdisciplinary teams to care for patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders. How you'll contribute

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

• Makes and documents nursing observations.
• Provides input into development and maintenance of the nursing care plan.
• Implements assigned aspects of nursing care plan.
• Collaborates with RNs and Providers.
• Coordinates patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges with patient care, service and business office personnel, as requested by RNs.
• Administers medications, treatment and therapies per scope of practice.
• Communicates with patients.
• Provides patient and/or family with instruction and education relevant to their condition, as delegated and supervised by RN.
• Set up, utilizes and/or maintains equipment, supplies and work area.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate degree in nursing required.

Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required within 30 days of hire
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Behavioral Health or Psychiatric experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
