Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago's Behavioral Health - Geriatric unit is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for full-time day shifts (7a–7p) with rotating weekends. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse, in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

• Document and communicate patient status and care plans.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family; Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.
